4.5 from 6 BuildZoom reviews Pahrump, Nevada NV licence 0058303

We haul the gravel. Then we spread it.

Albertson and Son is a father-and-son outfit in Pahrump. Brian has run the gravel pit since 2007; his son Jeremy works it with him. Driveway gravel, gray rock, crushed rock and sand — delivered by the load, and spread off the back of the truck as it drives, so you are not left standing there with a pile and a shovel.

The job, start to finish

Loaded. Hauled. Spread.

One phone call covers all three. Tell them what you want and roughly how many loads, and the truck brings it and lays it down on the way past. No second contractor, no wheelbarrow weekend.

1 · Loaded Type 2, gray rock, crushed rock or sand, loaded up in Pahrump.
2 · Hauled By the load, to your property. One customer has had at least 15 loads to the same address.
3 · Spread Off the tailgate as the truck moves, or with the tractor where it needs to be neat.

What they do

Gravel and rock, hauled and spread

Albertson and Son do not publish a service menu, so nothing below is a package with a number on it. It is the plain list of the work they and their customers have described. Every photograph on this page is licensed stock and is labelled as such — none of them are their jobs.

Type 2 driveway gravel

The one people ask for most. Type 2 is the road-base grade that packs down and stays put under a tyre, rather than shifting about like loose decorative rock. Customers describe cutting whole driveways with it.

Haul and spread

This is the part worth ringing about. Chains across the tailgate let the truck lay the load down as it drives, so the gravel arrives already spread. If you would rather have it in a heap in one spot, say so — they will do that instead.

Gray rock for landscaping

The same gray rock goes on yards as well as driveways. One long-standing customer lists “rock landscaping” alongside the driveway work they have had done over ten years.

Leech field rock

Septic leech fields are one of the three uses they name for their gray rock, along with driveways and landscaping. If you are putting a system in, tell them the spec you have been given.

Sand and crushed rock

Sand and crushed rock are part of the offer too. Some of it they buy in from Morales, a local supplier, rather than claiming every last thing comes out of one hole in the ground.

Grading and dirt work

Their Nevada licence is A-12 — Excavating, Grading, Trenching and Surfacing — and two separate reviewers describe grading and drainage work, not just deliveries. One says they “graded and fixed all our drainage issues”.

Materials

What actually comes off the truck

Four material types, which are the four Albertson and Son have described publicly. Prices are not published anywhere, and this page will not invent them — ring and ask what a load costs to your address.

Road base. Their most popular product, and the one the reviews keep naming.

Gray rock

The one material they use three ways: driveways, leech fields and landscaping.

Also part of the offer. Tell them what it is for and they will tell you what to order.

About these photographs. All four are licensed stock images of each material type. They are not photographs of Albertson and Son's pit, their yard, or a load they delivered, and they are not a stock list. What is actually in the pit this week is a phone call away.

Who you are calling

Brian, and his son Jeremy.

Brian Albertson moved to Pahrump in the early 1990s and bought the gravel pit in 2007. His son Jeremy — Pahrump Valley High School, class of 2018 — works it with him, and a loader operator comes in part-time when there is enough on. That is the whole company.

You will notice the reviews name Brian personally rather than a company. One customer has used him for “all of my rock, gravel or grading work for the past 10 years”. Another says Jeremy is now “just as good as he is”. In a valley this size, that is roughly how a gravel outfit gets its work.

There is a display yard on South Firebird Circle in Pahrump where the rock can be looked at before it is ordered, and the licensed business address is on West Gally Road.

Nevada contractors' licence 0058303 Classification A-12, Excavating, Grading, Trenching and Surfacing, held in the name Albertson, Brian Jay. Listed as active when BuildZoom last checked it in February 2026. A second licence is listed but not detailed. Check it yourself with the Nevada State Contractors Board before you hire anyone, including them.
No prices on this page Albertson and Son do not publish a rate card, and a gravel price moves with fuel. Call (775) 751-3878 or send the form below and they will quote your actual load, to your actual address.

15loads
“On time, reasonable. Brian has delivered at least 15 loads of gravel to my address, highly recommended.”
— Gary W., 27 May 2019, verbatim from his real BuildZoom review
The proof point

Fifteen loads to one address. Nobody does that twice by accident.

There is no adjective on this page that beats a customer counting the deliveries. Repeat work at that scale is the whole review, really: he kept ringing the same number.

Next-day delivery in at least one case: “I called one day and got the gravel the next day!”
Ten years of repeat work from one customer, covering rock, gravel and grading.
One critical review from 2014, about a job he decided not to take and was slow to say so. It is still on the page.
Reviews

Five real ones, word for word.

The cards with the solid ochre outline marked Real are copied verbatim from Albertson and Son's BuildZoom listing, typos and all. The ones marked Sample were written for this page as placeholders — they are not customer feedback and are not evidence of anything. There is also a sixth, critical review from 2014 on that listing; it is quoted in the section above rather than hidden.

Pahrump, and what is around it

The pit and the display yard are both in Pahrump, and Pahrump is where the work is. The reviews all read like local jobs — acre lots, driveways, drainage — which is what a valley this size runs on.

The radar is the geography, not a promise. Albertson and Son have not published a service radius anywhere. What you are looking at is Pahrump in the middle, and eight real places around it at their real bearings and distances, so you can see roughly where you sit. If you are out past Amargosa Valley, Sandy Valley or the California line, ring first and ask rather than assuming.
